Lufthansa is the flag carrier of Germany and one of the most influential airlines in Europe. It flies to numerous airports in Germany and around Central and Western Europe from destinations around the world. It is the fifth largest airline in terms of passengers and third in terms of number of aircraft.

Lufthansa is known for its high quality premium class services. In recent years, it has upgraded its economy cabins as well, adding video on demand service in seat backs in its wide-body aircraft and offering better food and complimentary beverages on longer flights.

Lufthansa has one of the better frequent flier programs in the world. Its Miles & More program has been adopted by other major airlines, such as Turkish Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.
